Responsibilities
- Evaluate the control of hazardous substances in NOC operations.
- Examine and make recommendations to improve the measurement and reporting of hazardous substances, such as BTEX and H2S, on production and offloading sites
- Perform hazardous substance measurement surveys on offshore storage and offloading sites.
- Review and update Industrial Hygiene Risk Assessment Files (IHRAF) from production and offloading sites with implementation of qualitative and quantitative monitoring
- Carry out noise surveys, noise dosimetry and heat stress prevention inspections
- Establish IHRAF for NOC Tower HQ.
Profile
- Certified Industrial Hygienist, Engineering degree or Bachelor in Sciences
- At least five years of experience gained in a role involving assessment and/or management of industrial hygiene risks, preferably in the Oil & Gas sector
- Good knowledge of industry standards and offshore operations
- Experience with PID detectors and or gas chromatograph monitoring; good understanding of gas detection methods, limitations of detectors and sensor poisoning
- Familiar with Class 1 levels sound meters and WBGT meters.
- Fit to work in offshore environment with high temperature conditions
