Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Engineer – Software Development to join our Automation Engineering team. The ideal candidate will assist in the design, development, and implementation of software solutions for industrial automation systems, including PLC, HMI, SCADA, and robotic applications. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in industrial software development and system integration under the guidance of senior engineers.
Key Responsibilities
Software Development:
Assist in developing, testing, and debugging automation software applications for PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems.Programming & Configuration:
Work on programming industrial controllers (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Omron, etc.) and configuring communication protocols such as Modbus, Profibus, and Ethernet/IP.System Integration:
Support integration of hardware and software components in robotic cells, assembly automation, and testing systems.Testing & Validation:
Participate in software simulation, debugging, and onsite commissioning activities to ensure functionality and performance meet design specifications.Documentation:
Prepare and maintain software-related documentation, including logic flow diagrams, I/O lists, and user manuals.Troubleshooting:
Assist in identifying, diagnosing, and resolving control system issues during development and commissioning stages.Collaboration:
Work closely with the electrical, mechanical, and project engineering teams to deliver integrated automation solutions.Continuous Learning:
Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in automation software, industrial networking, and control systems.Professional Conduct:
Maintain discipline, punctuality, and a collaborative attitude. Escalate technical issues to senior engineers as needed.
Work Experience
0–2 years of relevant experience in industrial automation, robotics, or control system software development.
Hands-on exposure to PLC programming (Siemens / Allen Bradley / Mitsubishi / Omron) preferred.
Basic understanding of HMI/SCADA systems, motion control, and sensors/actuators.
Familiarity with C / C++ / Python / Ladder Logic / Structured Text will be an advantage.
Academic Qualifications & Certifications
B.E. / B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, or Mechatronics Engineering
(Diploma candidates with strong practical experience may also apply)Certification or training in PLC, HMI, or SCADA programming preferred.
