We are seeking experienced Analyzer Engineer who will be responsible for the engineering, installation, commissioning, operation, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of process and laboratory analyzers to support ongoing and future analyzer projects. The role ensures accurate, reliable measurement and regulatory compliance while maintaining high availability of analyzer systems integrated with plant control systems.
Responsibilities
Analyzer Systems Engineering & Support
Provide engineering and field support for process and laboratory analyzer projects from design through commissioning and handover.
Review analyzer specifications, P&IDs, datasheets, vendor documents, and sample system layouts.
Ensure analyzers are selected and applied correctly per process and environmental requirements.
Installation & Commissioning
Supervise and execute installation, calibration, loop checking, functional testing, and commissioning of analyzers including:
Gas Chromatographs (GC)
Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems (CEMS)
Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) analyzers
Total Organic Carbon (TOC) analyzers
Process gas analyzers (O₂, H₂S, CO, CO₂, SO₂, NOx, etc.)
Liquid analyzers (pH, conductivity, turbidity, ORP, silica, etc.)
Verify proper installation and configuration of sample handling and conditioning systems (heated lines, probes, filters, coolers, pumps).
Perform cold and hot commissioning, baseline testing, and analyzer validation.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting
Carry out routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on all analyzer systems.
Diagnose and resolve analyzer faults related to:
Sensors, detectors, optics, columns, and sampling systems
Electronics, signal integrity, and communication failures
Analyze trends and performance data to forecast failures and improve reliability.
Coordinate vendor support and manage warranty claims where required.
DCS / PLC Integration
Configure, test, and troubleshoot analyzer interfaces with DCS / PLC / SCADA systems.
Support signal mapping (4–20 mA, digital, fieldbus), alarm management, and data validation.
Participate in loop checks and FAT/SAT activities for analyzer systems.
Compliance, Safety & Standards
Ensure all analyzer activities comply with Oil & Gas industry codes, environmental regulations, and safety standards.
Apply safe work practices in hazardous areas (Zone 1 / Zone 2).
Support CEMS compliance requirements, performance audits, and reporting in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
Prepare permits, risk assessments, and method statements for analyzer-related works.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate records for:
Calibration certificates
Maintenance logs
Analyzer performance and failure reports
Support preparation of technical reports, procedures, and operating manuals.
Assist in root cause analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement initiatives.
Technical Competencies
Strong hands-on expertise with:
GC, CEMS, FTIR, TOC analyzers
Process gas and liquid analyzers
Sample handling and conditioning systems
In‑depth understanding of analyzer measurement principles, calibration techniques, and diagnostics.
Proven ability to work independently in operating plants and brownfield environments.
Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Profile
Degree or Diploma in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, or Chemical Engineering (or equivalent technical qualification).
Vendor certifications or analyzer-specific training are an advantage.
Strong knowledge of Oil & Gas industry standards, environmental compliance requirements, and analyzer safety practices.
Familiarity with hazardous area classification and intrinsically safe systems.
